Food : There was an increase in the retail price of salted fish which resulted in an increase of 0.1
points above the figure for November, 1959. The group index figure now stands at 105.4.
Clothing : During the period under review there were increases in the retail prices of men's white
dress shirts (Jaffort), men's felt hats, panties, brasieres and white drill which outweighed a decrease
in silk dress material (plain taffeta) and resulted in an increase of 2 points above the figure for Novem-
ber, 1959. The group index figure is now 111.2.
Fuel and Cleaning : There were no changes in the retail prices of the items in this group. Like
November, 1959, the group index figure remained unchanged at 100.
Drink and Tobacco: There were no changes in the prices of the items in this group
during the month. The November, 1959 index figure of 100 therefore remained unchanged.
Miscellaneous goods: Due to increases in the retail prices of iron pots and dinner (flowered
edge) ware plates, the index figure under this group rose by 9.y points above the figure for November,
1959. The group index figure now stands at 123.1.
