HIS Excellency Mr. H. L. LINDO, C.M1.G., Acting Governor and Commander-
in-Chief of the Windward Islands, left the Colony on 16th December, for Jamaica
via Trinidad.

No. 351.
IN pursuance of authority conferred upon him by Letters Patent, His Excelleny,
the Acting Governor has issued a Commission appointing Louis COOLS-LARTIGUE,
Esquire, O.B.E., Chief Secretary, Windward Islands, to be Deputy to the Acting
Governor of the Windward Islands, with effect from 16th December, 1959, and until
further notice.
His Excellency's Commission is published for general information.

By I s Excellency HENRY LAURENCE LINDO, Companion of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Acting
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over the Windward
Islands, comprising theIslands of Grenada, Saint Vincent, Saint
Lucia and Dominica and their' Dependencies, issued under my
hand and the Public Seal of the Island of Grenada at Govern.
ment House in the said Island of Grenada, this 16th day
of December, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-nine.

Chief Secretary, Windward Islands.

GREETINGS:

BY virtue of the power and authority in me vested by WINDWARD ISLANDS LETTERS
PATENT bearing date at WESTMINSTER the twenty-seventh day of August, One
thousand nine hundred and fifty-one; I do by this Commission under the Public Seal
of the island of GRENADA appoint you the said Lotis COOLS-LARTIGUE, Officer of the
Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Chief Secretary, Windward Islands,
to be my Deputy within the said WINDWARD ISLANDS from on or about the 16th day
of December, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-nine and until the 31st day of
December, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-nine and in that capacity should
the necessity arise for so doing, to exercise, perform and execute for and on behalf
of the Acting Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the WINDWARD ISLANDs during
the period recited, but no longer, all things that belong to the office of Acting Governor
and Commander-in-Chief of the WINDWARD ISLANDS according to the tenor of such
Letters Patent already recited or in other Letters Patent adding to, amending
or substituting for the same; and subject to the Royal Instructions and
other Instructions passed under the Royal Sign Manual and Signet to the Acting
Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the said WINDWARD ISLANDS of GRENADA, SAINT
VINCENT, SAINT LUCIA, DOMINICA and their Dependencies and during Her Majesty's
pleasure:

II. AND I DO HEREBY REQUIRE and command all and singular Her Majesty's
Officers, Civil, Military, Naval, Air and otherwise, and all others the inhabitants of the
said WINDWARD ISLANDS and all others whom it may concern to take due notice thereof
and to give their ready obedience accordingly.

Louls COOLS-LAtTIGUE, Esquire, O.B.E.,
Chief Sccretary, Windward Islands.
To act as Deputy to the Acting Governor in certain event.
