A REWARD of $1,000 is offered to any person
giving information leading directly to the
capture of Festus LEWIS, alias "Spider", alias
"Roy Haywood", alias "Matthew Haywood'",
alias "Blows" of St. Pauls, Grenada, a labourer
and stevedore, wanted for Murder.

DESCRIPTION AS FOLLOWS:
About 5 Ft. 8 Inches in height, stout build,
brown complexion, round and wrinkled face with
high cheek bones, scar on left cheek, mole on left
forearm, black and curly hair, gold capped teeth at
front of mouth, little finger missing on left hand,
and walks with rolling gait and chest up.
Information will be treated with the strictest
confidence.

POLICE NOTICE.

QECTION 399 of Chapter 55 of the Laws of
SGrenada, 1934, is hereby published for the
general information of the public .-
Whoever, knowing or having reason to
believe that any person has committed or has
been convicted of any crime, aids conceals or
harbours the person, with the purpose of en-
abling him to avoid lawful arrest or the ex-
ecution of his sentence, shall, if the crime is
punishable with death or with imprisonment
for ten years or upwards, be liable to imprison-
ment for five years, or shall if the crime is a
felony other than aforsaid, be liable to im-
prisonment for two years, or shall, if the crime
is a misdemeanor, be liable to imprisonment
for six months."

Towns Administration Ordinance- Cap. 225.

N OTICE is hereby given that Assessment Lists
in respect of the Town of St. George may
be seen at the Treasury, and in respect of the
other Towns at the respective District Revenue
Offices, from the Ist day of February, to the
30th day of April next, and that attendance will be
given at such offices for tie purpose of receiving
the rates mentioned in the Assessment Lists.

Income Tax

OTICES of Employers Returns have been sent
to all Employers and-l Heads of Government.
Departments, and the co-operation of these Em-
ployers is requested so that the returns may be
received at the Income Tax Department not later
than the 28th Febr'uary next.
The Income Tax Ordinance. Cap. 103, provides
that it shall be the duty of every employer to
send in such return. Failure to do so within the
prescribed period carries a penalty not exceeding
$480.00<

THE Income Tax Ordinance states that:-

It shall be the duty of every person
chargeable with tax to give notice to the Com-
missioner within three months after the com-
mencement of any year of assessment, (that is
1st January of any year) that he is so charge-
able."
2. Notices of Return have been sent out by
the Income Tax Department, but it is the duty of
taxpayers to ensure that they get such a form and
make a return as required by Law. (Forms are
obtainable from the District Revenue Offices).
3. Failure to submit such a Return within
the prescribed time renders tlhe taxpayer liable to
a pei:aity not exceeding 100"' of the tax payable.

VACANT POST OF SENIOR ASSISTANT MASTER
GRAMMAR SCHOOL, ST. VINCENT.

4 PPLICATIONS are invited for appointment
i-l to the post of Senior Assistant Master,
Grammar School, St. Vincent, particulars of which
are as follows :-
Appointment : The school is a Government
institution. The post is pensionable and the
appointment carries with it the liability to transfer
to any post of equivalent status within the Wind-
ward Islands. The Officer will be subject to the
Colonial Regulations and local General Orders for
the time being in force in so far as they are
applicable. The appointment will be subject to
medical fitness, and will be on probation for a
period of one year in the first instance.
Salary : The salary of the post is in the scale
$2,880 x 120-$3,600 ([600 x 75--f750) plus a
pensionable pay addition of 20% of salary. The
point of entry into the salary scale will be de-
termined according to the qualifications and
experience of the candidate.
Qualifications: Applicants should possess a
degree of a University within the British Common-
wealth, and must be able to teach Chemistry and
Physics or Chemistry and Biology to Higher School
Certificate standard.
Quarters : Quarters are not provided.
Passages: Free first class passages to
St. Vincent will be provided for the officer his
wile and children not exceeding five persons in all;
children should be under 18 years of age, unmarried,
and dependent on the officer.
Leave And Leave Passages: Vacation leave
on fullpay will be granted in accordance with local
General Orders.
Leave passages will be provided in accordance
with lccal regulations.
Medical Attention: Free medical attention
and medicines are not provided.
Taxation: All Government Officers are liable
to taxation imposed by local legislation.
Applications giving full particulars, qualifica-
tions and experience of the applicant, and accom-
panied by testimonials which will not be returned
should be addressed to the Chief Secretary, \Vind-
ward Islands, Grenada, and must reach him not
later than the 31st March, 1957.
