THE COMMISSIONS OF ENQUIRY ORDINANCE, CAP. 46.

WVITH reference to Gazetle Notice No. 57 of 24th September, 1956, regarding the
S appointment of JOSEPH LYTTELTON NWVI LS, Esq., as a Commissioner to enquire.
into and report upon--
the circumstances surrounding the negotiations which took place in and
after the month of April, 1956, between the Government of Grenada and
Dr. JAMES ERNEST Ross with a view to the acquisition by the Government
of a plot of land at the angle between Scott Street and Tryne Alley, in the
Town of Saint George, and the property of the said Dr. Ross, with
particular reference to the imputations in respect of this transaction con-
tained in a speech made by the Honourable AUTSTER NORRTS HUGHES in the
Grenada Legislative Council on Wednesday, the 20th June, 1956, speaking
on the motion for the adjournment,
it is hereby notified for general information that the first sitting of the Commission
of Enquiry wil' commence at York House, at 10 a.m., on Monday, 1st October, 1956.
2. Any parties who wish to be represented in person or by Counsel at the hear-
ings of the Comunission should make application to the Secretary.
