Tenders for the Supply of Fresh Milk.

QEALED Tenders are invited for the supply of
fresh milk to Government institutions in
St. George's.
Tenders should be submitted to the Chairman,
Tenders Board, by 4.00 p.m. Wednesday' 15th
September, 1954, marked "Tenders for the supply
of fresh milk".
Details of the conditions of the contract will be
supplied on application to the Senior Medical
Officer.
Government does not bind itself to accept the
lowest or any tender.

Tenders for the Conveyance of Mails, Passengers
and Cargo between Grenada and Carriacou.

SEALED Tenders are invited for the conveyance
k of mails, passengers and cargo weekly by
auxiliary vessel of not less than 50 tons between
Grenada and Carriacou and which will include
a trip to Union Island once a fortnight and an
additional fortnightly trip to Carriacou. The
vessel should be fitted with lavatory and equipped
with adequate seating accommodation for passen-
gers and boats and lifeboats for passengers and
crew.
2. All personnel travelling on official business
and plant material, livestock etc, transported on
behalf of Government will be conveyed free of
charge. Suitable space must also be reserved below
deck for the carriage of ice shipped to Carriacou

Road Closing.



FT HE portion of the St. Cyr Mirabeau Road
leading from its junction with Grenville Road
near to the St. Cyr Cau-eway will lie closed to
vehicular traffic as from 22nd August for a period
of 9 weeks in order to carry out alterations to
the St. Cyr t'auseway.. Persons travelling from
St. George's to the Miraheau Hospital are advised
to uee the route through La Force and Byelands,
and persons travelling from Sauteurs and the
eastern part of St. Andrew's the route through
La Fillette and Mrt. Home.

Apprenticeship Scheme.



PPLICATTON.S are invited for four Agri-
1 cultural Apprenticeships slhor'tly to become
vacant in the Department of Agriculture.
2. The course of training will be for a period of
one year and will commence on the 1st October,
195,5. Successful candidates will he required to
reside at Mt. Moritz Agricultural Station in quarters
provided there to Ie under the control of the
Agricultural Assistant. They will receive an
allowance of $:i84 per annum and will he required
to make their own arrangements for board.
3. The Government accepts no responsibility
expressed nor implied to employ or to find employ-
mert for apprentices on the completion of their
couOrse.
4. Applicants, who should be between the ages of
18 and 24 should state age, school or schools
.,ttendled with standard or certificate attained, p st
and .resent employment and emoluments earned
at the present time, experience in agriculture and
the facilities which they expect will be available to
them lor practising agriculture after their period of
apprenticeship.
5. Applications should be ;ddresscd to the
Superintendent of Agriculture, Botanic Gardens,
St. George's, and should reach that address not
later than 31st August, 1955. The envelope con-
taining the application marked Apprenticeship"
on the outside.
