CARNIVAL REGULATIONS

F~1IIE public is hereby warned that the following
1 acts constitute offences against the law :-
(a) Celebrating the Carnival before 6.00 a.m. on
the Monday preceding Shrovo Tuesday or
after midnight on Shrove Tuesday;
(h) Lighting or keeping alight any bonfire in
any public place on the Sunday preceding
the Carnival or on the night of the Monday
preceding Shrove Tuesday, commonly known
as Cannes Brulee".
(c) Singing of indecent, immoral or libellous
songs;
(d) Carrying of whips, sticks, or other offensive
weapons;
(e) Dressing or disguising as a person of the
opposite sex ;
(f) Blowing of any noisy instruments (including
conch shells) BETWEEN MIDNIGHT on
Saturday preceding the Carnival and 6.00
a.m. on the Monday of Carnival.

INCOME TAX ORDINANCE.

Income Tax Rules.

N OTICE is hereby given that Income Tax
S Returns are required to be forwarded to the
Commissioners of Income Tax not later than the
31sl May, 1955, by every person whose income
from every source whatsoever was over $480.00,
and every Company engaged in trade or business,
during the year 1954.
2. The Income Tax Forms of Return must he
fully and correctly completed and should show
deductions claimed. Supporting vouchers, partic-
ularly Interest and Life Insurance receipts, are
to be forwarded with the Returns.
3. Employers are requested to submit to the
Commissioner of Income Tax not later than 31st
March, 1955, a list of employees whose incomes
were over $360.00 per annum during the year
1954.
4. Any person who may not have received a
Form applicable to his or her particular case may
obtain such a form on application at the Income
Tax Office, St. George's, or any District Revenue
Office.

Liquor Dealers' Licences Ordinance Chapter 123 and Sale of Produce Ordinance,
No. 24 of 1954.


TOTICE is hereby given that the undersigned Magistrate of the Western District has appointed
I Friday the Ith dayf of March next at 9 o'clock in the forenoon at the Court House in the Town ol
Gouyave as the day, hour and place at which a Session will ob held for grantJing Certificates for the
issue or renewal of licences in the Parish of St. John, for the remaining portion of the yor 1955, in
pursuance of the Drovisicns of the Liquor Licences Ordinance, Chapter 123 ; and at the same time and
place a Session will be held also for the granting of Licences as Dealers in Licensable Produce in the
Parishes of St. Mark's and St. John's, in pursuance of the Sale of Produce Ordinance, No. 24 of 1954.
All applications for such ricences must he sent in to the Magistrate in writing on or before the
21st day1 of F'ebi'nary 1956.
