TRAFFIC CONTROL ARRANGEMENTS ROYAL VISIT 6TH AND 7TH FEBRUARY, 1955


BY virtue of the powers vested in me by Section 79 of the Motor Vehicles and Road
Traffic Ordinance, 1938, I direct the following measures for the regulation of
Traffic on the 6th and 7th days of February, 1955.
1. Parking of cars will NOT be permitted in the following streets or areas from
9.30 a.m. to 11.30 p.m. each day.

GENERAL:
SUNDAY, 6TH FEBRUARY, 1955,
The car park for all attending the Garden party will be situated between the
two gates of Government House on Lucas Street.

MONDAY 7TH FEBRUARY, 1955.
QUEEN'S PARK RALLY
(a) Traffic for Queen's Park arriving after 9.00 a.m. by the Western road will
enter Queen's Park at the northern end of Emboucherie road and will park in their
allotted places to the East of the Race Track.
(b) Traffic for Queen's Park arriving after 9.30 a.m. bv the Eastern road will
be diverted down Tempe Road and will enter the Park via Wooden Bridge on River
Road and park East of the Race Track. Traffic from Beaulieu and Grand Etang
will similarly enter the Park by this route.
(c) No Traffic will enter Queen's Park after 10.00 a.m.
(d) The car park for all attending the Reception will be situated in the
Government House Grounds, with any overflow parking on one side of the Lucas
Street roadway between the two gates of Government House.
