NOTIC E

Windward Islands Broadcasting Service.

IT is notified for general information that test
transmissions by the Windward Islands Broad-
casting Service will commence on Friday, 12th,
February, 1954, on a frequency of 4.75 megacycles
in the 60 metre band.
Two transmissions will be made daily until the
3rd of March-the first will be from 5 to .6 p. m.
and the second from 8 to 10 p. m. daily, except
Saturday.
These transmissions are not intended to consti-
tute an entertainment service but to test the
suitability of the above frequency for regular use.
Listeners with ordinary domestic receivers are
therefore invited to make reports to the Chief

Engineer, Windward Islands Broadcasting Service,
t. George's, indicating-
(a) whether the transmission was clearly
received, or

Technical reports are not required but merely an
interested listener's reaction to the transmission.
Listeners are assured that when the main in-
stallation is complete a very much stronger signal
will be radiated than that. used for the tests.

NOTICE.

Post of Junior Agricultural Instructor,
Department of Agriculture, Grenada.

PPLICATIONS are. invited for the post of
Junior Agricultural Instructor in the Depart-
ment of Agriculture, Grenada.
The post, which is non-pensionable, carries a
salary scale of $1,032 x $60-$1,152 x $72-
$1,368 (215 x .12. 10s.-240 x 15--285) per
annum. A travelling allowance of $360 (75) per
annum is payable provided a motor cycle is kept.
No quarters are provided.
Applicants must possess the School Certificate
with credits in Science subjects plus local appren-
ticeship or Special Course.
Applications must be in the applicants own
handwriting and they will be required to give the
following information:-
(1) Age,
(2) School or schools or University at which
educated and Certificate or Certificates
and Diplomas obtained.
(3) Nature of present and past employment
with dates.
(4) Amount of monthly salary or wages
earned in the post in which applicant
was last employed.
(5) Past experience in work of the same or
a similar kind to that required in the
post advertised,
(6) They should also furnish testimonials
(which will not be returned to the
applicant certified as true copies by a
Justice of the Peace or a Minister of
Religion or Head of Department.
Applications which do not contain the required
information will not be considered,
Applications should be addressed t, the Secretary,
Public Service Commission, Government Office, St.
George's, and should reach him not later than
28th February, 1954.

Towns Administration Ordinance. Cap, 225.

NOTICE is hereby given that Assessment Lists
in respect of the Town of St. George may be
seen at the Treasury, and in respect of the other
Towns at the respective District Revenue Offices,
from the 1st day of February, to the 30th day of
April next, and that attendance will be given at
such offices for the purpose of receiving the rates
mentioned in the Assessment Lists.

Issue of Warrants under the St, Geoige's
Sewerage Ordinance No. 25 of 1936.

of Section 16 of the St. George's Sewerage

unpaid after the 31st January, 1954.

of Police for the time being in charge of Grenville
Police Station to be Receiver of Wreck, and to
have the general superintendence of all matters
relating to the Drum of Kerosene found at Con-
erence Bay, St. Andrew's.
