THE Right Honourable the Secretary of State
for the Colonies has notified the Governor
that the Queen will not be advised to exercise Her
Majesty's power of disallowance with respect to the
following Ordinances of the Grenada Legislature;-
No. 11 of 1953.-An Ordinance further to amend
the Marriage Ordinance (Cap. 133.)
No. 14 of 1953.-An Ordinance further to amend
the Immigration (Restriction) (Amendment)
Ordinance 1936.

W ITH reference to Gazette Notice regarding the
change in the itinerary of the mail contract
vessel" Principal S", the public is hereby informed
that the Principal S" will continue to run on the
regular schedule from 1st February, 1954, until
further notice. The schedule set out in the
Gazette Notice under reference should therefore be
disregarded for the time being.

OTICE is hereby given that Assessment Lists.
in respect of the Town of St. George may be
seen at the Treasury, and in respect of the other
Towns at the respective District Revenue Offices,
from the 1st day of February, to the 30th day of
April next, and that attendance will be given at,
such offices for the purpose of receiving the rates
mentioned in the Assessment Lists.

Sewerage Ordinance No. 25 of 1936.

NOTICE is hereby given that under the authority
Sof Section 16 of the St. George's Sewerage
Ordinance a warrant will be issued to the Bailiff
for the recovery of all Sewerage Rates which remain
unpaid after the 31st January, 1954.

Section 79 (1) of the Motor Vehicles & Road
Traffic Ordinance, No, 2 of 1938, I hereby order
that no vehicles carrying canes shall enter Lowthers
Lane from upper Lucas Street until further notice.

Road Closing.

OTICE is hereby given that the portion of
Richmond Grand Bacolet Road between
Deblando and Walker will be closed to Vehicular
traffic for approximately fourteen days as from
Wednesday, 3rd February, for the purpose of
reconstructing a culvert.


Vehicles may travel from Union Road junction
towards Grenville and from Post Royal towards
Mt. Carmel.

IT is hereby notified for general information that
from and after 1st February, 1954, private sale
of charcoal at the Richmond Hill Prison will be
discontinued, All individuals requiring charcoal
may, from this date, purchase same from the Food
Storage Depot.

University of London,

General Certificate of Examinations.

THIS examination will be held during May and
.November in each year.
The Entry Fee for a subject at Ordinary Level
will be ten shillings, and for a subject at Advance
Level one pound.
Besides the above, a local fee of Four Dollars
must be paid into the Treasury and forwarded
with the application for entry. Candidates taking
a Science Subject requiring a practical examination
must pay an additional fee of Four Dollars.
Any further particulars may be obtained from
the Local Secretary for External Examinations.
