Officer.

Post of Senioi Agricultural Assistant
Carriacou, Grenada, B. W. I.


APPLICATIONS are invited for the post of
Senior Agricultural Assistant, Carriacou in
the Department of Agriculture, Grenada.
2. The post in the salary scale of $2,400 x $120-
$3,120, and a temporary cost-of-living allowance
of $480 per annum is also payable. In addition a
transport allowance of $912 per annum is payable
providing the officer keeps and maintains a motor
car for the performance of his duties.
3. The post is non-pensionable and will be for
the duration of 0. D. & W. Scheme D. 1859
(Agricultural Development Scheme for Carriacou),
i.e., for a period of three years in the fist instance.
4. Applicants must possess the D.I.C.T.A.
or its equivalent, or a University degree in Agricul-
ture, plus previous experience in a Department of
Agriculture.
5. The point in the salary grade at which the
successful applicant will be appointed will depend
on qualifications and experience.
6. The duties of the post will entail the planning
and supervision of all projects of an agricultural
nature in Carriacou, the supervision of agricultural
and forestry staff, and such. other duties as may be
determined from time to time.
7. Free, unfurnished qjairters :will be provided.
8. Free passages on appointment will be provided
for the Candidate and his family plus normal
travelling expenses.
9. Applications should& be addressed to the
Secretary, Public Service Commission, Government
Office, St. George's, Greri~ida and must reach himi
on or before February 28, 1953.

TOTICE is hereby given that a Session of the
Supreme Court of the Windward Islands and
Leeward Islands at Grenada, in its Criminal
Jurisdiction, will be held at the Court: House in the
town of St. George on Tuesday. the 10th day.'of
Felbnary, 1953, at ten o'clock in the forenoon
when and where all-concerned and bound over to
prosecute, or to give evidence, or summoned as
Jurors or Witnesses are required to give their
personal attendance, and all Officers who have
taken Inquisitions, Examinations, Recognizances,
or other papers cognizable by the Court are required
to return the same without delay to this Office.
