REVOCATION OF APPOINTMENT OF MINSTER
It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor General acting in accord-
ance with the advice of the Prime Minister has, pursuant to Article 64 of the
Constitution of The West Indies, revoked the appointment of Wilfred Andrew Rose,
Esq. as a Minister with effect from Friday, 23rd March 1962.
CONSUL GENERAL OF THE UNITED STATES
This Government has been informed that consequent upon the transfer of
Mr. Ivan B. White, United States Special Representative to the Federation of the
West Indies, Mr. William H. Christensen has been appointed Consul General of the
United States at Port-of-Spain with jurisdiction in Antigua, Dominica, Grenada,
Montserrat, St. Kitts-Nevis-Amguilla, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago
and the Virgin Islands.
Mr. E. S. Gittens, O.B.E. has been appointed to act as Permanent Secretary,
Ministry of Trade and Industry with effect from 14th February 1962 (inclusive),
vice Mr. P. W. C. Burke, who has returned to the Jamaica Service.

PROMOTION IN THE FEDERAL PUBLIC SERVICE
Mr. H. J. Charles, Meteorological Assistant, has been promoted to the post of
Senior Meteorological Assistant in the West Indies Meteorological Service with
effect from 1st January 1962.
