AN ACT to amend the Overseas Judgments (Reciprocal
Enforcement) Act, 1960.

Be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent
Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate
and the House of Representatives of The West Indies, and
by the authority of the same, as follows:-

1. This Act may be cited as the Overseas Judgments Short title.
(Reciprocal Enforcement) (Amendment) Act, 1961, and shall
be read as one with the Overseas Judgments (Reciprocal
Enforcement) Act, 1960, hereinafter called the principal
Act. Act 5 of

AN ACT to amend the Defence Act, 1958.
Be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent
Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Senate
and the House of Representatives of The West Indies, and
by the authority of the same, as follows:-
Short title. 1. This Act may be cited as the Defence (Amend-
ment) Act, 1961, and shall be read as one with the Defence
cap.101. Act, 1958, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

Section 79 of the principal Act is hereby

(a) in subsection (3), by substituting the
following subparagraph for subparagraph
(iv) of paragraph (b) thereof:-
"(iv) such restriction of privileges, for any
period not exceeding twenty-eight days
beginning with the day of the sentence,
as may be prescribed;" and
(b) in subsection (5), by substituting the words
"restriction of privileges" for the words
"confinement to barracks" appearing therein.

AN ACT to appropriate an additional sum from the Consoli-
dated Fund of the Federation for the services for the
year ending on the thirty-first day of December, one
thousand, nine hundred and sixty one.
Be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent
Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate
and the House of Representatives of The West Indies and
by the authority of the same, as follows:-
1, This Act may be cited as the Supplementary Short title
Appropriation (No. 2) Act, 1961.
2. The Accountant General may withdraw from the$2,123,o70
Consolidated Fund of the Federation on the warrant of the~d out

His Excellency the Acting Governor-General in exercise of
the powers conferred on him by section 4 of the Civil Establishment
Act, 1958, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby
makes the following order:-


1. This Order may be cited as the Civil Establishment (No. 2)
Order, 1961.


2. The Civil Establishment (General) Order, 1958, as amended,
is hereby further amended in the manner set out in the Schedule to this
Order.







3. The Civil Establishment Order, 1961, is hereby cancelled.

1958, is hereby amended in the following respects:-

(1) Under the heading "Law Officers" as from the 1st
April, 1961, immediately after the officer "Solicitor
General" and the particulars specified in relation thereto

THE DEFENCE (RESTRICTION OF PRIVILEGES)
RULES, 1961.

ARRANGEMENT OF RULES
Rule
1. Citation.
2. Nature of restriction of privileges.


His Excellency the Acting Governor-General in exercise of
the powers conferred on him by section 134 of the Defence Act, 1958,C. 101.
and of all other powers him thereunto enabling, hereby makes the
following rules:-

1. These Rules may be cited as the Defence (Restriction ofCitation.
Privileges) Rules, 1961.

2. (1) A soldier who is undergoing a punishment of restrictionNature of
of privileges shall- restriction

(a) forfeit his permanent pass during the period of suchprivileges.

(b) answer his name daily at twenty-two hundred hours and
thereafter, except as required by duty, remain in barracks
until Reveille on the day following;
(c) be employed on fatigue duties outside normal working
hours for a maximum period of two Ihours each day with
a view to relieving well-conducted soldiers of such duties;
(d) be allowed the use of the canteen, and may, for the
purpose of relieving well-conducted soldiers, be required
to perform those duties, other than guards or picquets,
which require the employment of soldiers outside of
normal working hours.

(2) When fatigue duties are not sufficient to keep the soldier
adequately employed, the Commanding Officer may order him to attend
extra instruction of a useful nature for not more than one hour on
any day; and a soldier required to wear field service marching order
for such instruction shall not be made to carry a pack.

(AMENDMENT) RULES, 1961.

ARRANGEMENT OF RULES
Rule
1. Citation.
2. Amendment of rule 7 of the principal Rules.
3. Insertion of new rule 9 in the principal Rules.


His Excellency the Acting Governor-General in exercise of
Cap. 101. the powers conferred on him by section 134 of the Defence Act, 1958,
and of all other powers him thereunto enabling, hereby makes the
following rules:-

Citation. 1. These Rules may be cited as the Defence (Summary Jurisdic-
tion) (Amendment) Rules, 1961, and shall be read as one with the
Defence (Summary Jurisdiction) Rules, 1959, hereinafter referred to as
the principal Rules.

Amendment 2. Paragraph (b) of rule 7 of the principal Rules is hereby
of rule 7 amended by substituting the words "restriction of privileges" for the

THE WEST INDIES AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY ACT, 1961
(COMMENCEMENT ) ORDER, 1961

WHEREAS by section 15 of the West Indies Agricultural
Society Act, 1961, it is provided that the said Act shall come into force
on such day as the Governor-General may by order appoint after the
Jamaica Agricultural Society and the Agricultural Society of Trinidad
and Tobago have signified to him in writing under the seals of their
respective societies acceptance of membership as subscribing members
of the West Indies Agricultural Society:

AND WHEREAS the said societies have so signified their
acceptance of membership as aforesaid:

NOW, THEREFORE, His Excellency the Acting Governor-General
by virtue of the power and authority in him vested hereby makes the
following Order:-

1. This Order may be cited as the West Indies AgriculturalShort title.
Society Act, 1961 (Commencement) Order, 1961.

2. The 15th day of August, 1961 is hereby appointed as the dayDate of
