THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (REMUNERATION
AND EXPENSES OF MEMBERS) (AMENDMENT)
REGULATIONS, 1960.

Made by the Governor-General under section 10 of the
Public Service Commission (Remuneration, Privileges and Offences)
Act, 1960.

ARRANGEMENT OF REGULATIONS
Regulation
1. Citation and commencement.
2. Substitution of regulation 1 of the Principal Regulations.
3. Amendment of regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations.


His Excellency the Governor-General, in exercise of the
powers conferred upon him by section 10 of the Public Service
Commission (Remuneration, Privileges and Offences) Act, 1960, and
of all other powers him thereunto enabling hereby makes the following
Regulations:-

Citation 1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Public Service
and Commission (Remuneration and Expenses of Members) (Amendment)

remuneration that would normally be earned under the
provisions of paragraph (a) of this regulation).".

3. Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is herebyAmend-

"(4) When the Chairman is receiving remuneration under the
provisions of paragraph (b) of regulation 1 and, not being resident in
Trinidad, is in Trinidad for the purposes of the Commission, the cost
of his board and lodging shall not be paid as provided in paragraph (1)
of this regulation and no subsistence allowance shall be paid to him
under the provisions of paragraph (2) of this regulation."

THE WEST INDIES

FEDERAL SUPREME COURT

Notice is hereby given for general information that the Chief
Justice and Judges of the Federal Supreme Court have issued the
following Practice Direction to the Registrar and Deputy Registrars
of the Court:

Practice Direction (No. 1)

Until this direction is revoked, the Registrar of the Court below
when he receives any notice referred to in Order III, Rule 7 of the
Federal Supreme Court (Appeal) Rules, 1959 may assume that, in
respect of any copies of proceedings or summing-up forwarded to the
Registrar under the said rule, a Judge of the Federal Supreme Court
will, upon application made under Order III, Rule 8(10) of the said
Rules, order that the applicant be supplied free of charge with a copy
of such proceedings or summing-up irrespective of whether the notice
concerns an appeal or an application, and, if it concerns an application,
whether the application is granted or not.
