APPOINTMENT TO THE FEDERAL PUBLIC SERVICE

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL has, after consultation with the temporary Public Service Commission,
appointed MR. REUBEN SEALEY as a Senior Executive Officer, on secondment from the service of the
Government of Barbados, with effect from the 1st June, 1958.

The West Indies (Federation) (Amendment) Order in Council, 1958 is
published below for general information.


At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 3rd day of June, 1958
Present,
The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

Her Majesty, by virtue of the powers conferred upon Her by section 7
of the West Indies (Fedeiation) Order in Council, 1957(a), is pleased,
by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby
ordered, as follows:-

1. Section 1 of the West Indies (Federation) Order in Council,
1957, shall have effect, and shall be deemed always to have had effect,
as if the following subsection were included therein immediately after
subsection (2) :-
"(2a) Articles 43, 44, 46 to 54, 59 to 71, 92, 94 to 96 and
101 of the Constitution shall come into force on the date when
the House of Representatives first meets."

2. This Order may be cited as the West Indies (Federation)
(Amendment) Order in Council, 1958.
