CONSEQUENT on the appointment of MR. D. F. MAYERS, Deputy Clerk of the Federal Legislature, to act as
Clerk of the Senate, the Federal Secretary has approved the appointment of Miss J. DARCHEVILLE, Clerical
Officer Grade I, to act as Deputy Clerk of the Federal Legislature with effect from the 21st May, 1958, and until
further notice.

STATUTORY INSTRUMENT No. 9 of 1958.


THE FEDERAL SUPREME COURT (APPEALS FROM BRITISH
GUIANA) (TEMPORARY PROVISIONS) RULES, 1958.

Made by the Chief Justice and two other judges of the Federal Supreme
Court under section 7 of the British Guiana (Appeals) Order-in-Council,
1957.

The Chief Justice and two other Judges of the Federal Supreme Court
selected by him, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 7
of the British Guiana (Appeals) Order-in-Council, 1957, and all other
powers enabling them in that behalf hereby make the following Rules:

1. These Rules may be cited as the Federal Supreme Court (Appeals
from British Guiana) (Temporary Provisions) Rules, 1958.

2. The practice and procedure of the Federal Supreme Court in the
exercise of its appellate jurisdiction conferred on it under the British Guiana
(Appeals) Order-in-Council, 1957, and under any law of the Legislature of
British Guiana enacted pursuant to section 3 of such Order-in-Council shall
be regulated mutatis mutandis by the West Indian Court of Appeal Rules,
1945, until other provision is made for regulating such practice and procedure.
