It is hereby notified for general
information that every ship or vessel
carrying passengers shall carry a boat
or boats to be approved by the Col-
lector of Customs and in such a
position as to be readily got into the
water, and shall carry also an approved
life belt for each passenger. The life
belts shall be so placed as to be easily
accessible to the passengers.
An approved life belt shall mean a
belt approved by the Collector of
Customs which does not require to be
inflated before use and which is cap-
ble at least of floating in the water for
twenty-four hours with 15 lb. of iron
suspended from it.

UNIVERSAL OIL PRODUCTS
COMPANY of 30 Algonquin Road,
De-s Plaines, Illinois, U. S. A. have ap-
plied for registration in Antigua of
United Kingdom Patent No. 931824
dated the 19th day of March, 1962,
and issued on the 6th day of Novem-
ber, 1963, and have filed at the Regis-
trar's Office at the Court House, St.
John's, Antigua, a complete copy of
the specifications and the Certificate of
the Comptroller General of the United
Kingdom Patent giving full particulars
of this patent which will be open to
public inspection at the said office at
any time b -tveen the hours of
9.00 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. on working

the Windward Islands and Leeward
Islands Court of Appeal Rules, 1940
notice is hereby given that His Lord-
ship the Chief Justice has arranged
for a sitting of the Court of Appeal for
the Windward Islands and Leeward
Islands in the Colony of Antigua to
commence on Tuesday, 1st day of
December, 1964 at 9.30 a.m. for the
purpose of hearing appeals from the
decisions of Magistrates.

All persons concerned are notified
to govern themselves accordingly.

TENDER.
Tenders are invited for the supply
to Government of its requirements of
cement of approximately 6,000 bags
per month for the period 1st January
to 30th June, 1965.
All cement should be delivered in
bags and the successful tenderer will
be required to keep the above quanti-
ties in stock in his storeroom and to
make deliveries therefrom in un-
broken bags and in good condition as
and when required by Government.

All tenders must be accompanied
by a certificate signed by qualified
engineers or chemists to the effect
that the cement meet in all respect the
requirements of B.S.S. 12. This
certificate must not be more than 2
months old on the day on which
tenders are received, and Government


reserves the right to demand such
certificates periodically and to reject
any shipment not meeting the re-
quired specifications.
Government does not bind itself to
accept the lowest or any tender.

Tenders should be addressed in a
sealed envelope to the Administrative
Secretary, Public Works and Com-
munications, Administration Building
and should reach that office not later
than 4.00 p.m. on Thursday 10th
December, 1964.

ORDER, 1964, DATED 5TH NOVEMBER, 1964, MADE BY THE
ADMINISTRATOR UNDER SECTION 4(1) OF THE AID TO PIO-
NEER INDUSTRIES ORDINANCE, 1950 (No. 9 OF, .1950).

1. SHORT TITLE. This Order may be cited as the Aid to
Pioneer Industries (Antigua Gases Limited) Order, 1964.
2. DECLARATION OF PIONEER MANUFACTURER. Antigua
Gases Limited is hereby declared to be a pioneer manufacturer
for the purposes of the Aid to Pioneer Industries Ordinance,
1950, in relation to the pioneer factory situate at Friars Hill
Road in the Parish of Saint John and in relation to the manufac-
ture of the following pioneer products-
Oxygen, Nitrogen and Acetylene
the manufacture of which was declared to be a pioneer industry
by the Aid to Pioneer Industries (Manufacture and Processing of
Industrial and Medical Gases) Order, 1964; (S. R. & 0. 26
/1964.) and the production day of the said Antigua Gases Limi-
ted in relation to the above mentioned pioneer products is
declared to be the 1st day of December, 1964.
Made by the Administrator acting in accordance with the
advice of the Executive Council this5th day of November, 1964.
