AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE TRADE LICENCES
ORDINANCE, 1963.

[24th April, 1964.]

ENACTED by the Legislature of the Colony
of the Virgin Islands.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Trade
Licences (Amendment) Ordinance, 1964, and shall
be read as one with the Trade Licences Ordinance,
1963, hereinafter called the Principal Ordinance.
2. Schedule B to the Principal Ordinance is
hereby amended by-
(a) renumbering Item 1 thereof as paragraph
(i); and

(b) inserting the following immediately there-
after as paragraph (ii). thereof:-

(ii) for each additional store or
shop ......

Colony for the year ending on the thirty-first
day of December, 1964.

ENACTED by the Legislature of the Colony
of the Virgin islands.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the short title.
Appropriation Ordinance, 1964.


2. There shall be and there is hereby granted
to Her Majesty the Queen, for the services of the
Colony for the year ending on the thirty-first day
of December, 1964, the sum of two million,
three hundred and seventy-three thousand five hun-
dred and fifty-two dollars, in the currency of the
United State of America, to be applied and expended
in the manner and for the services set forth in the
Schedule hereto.
3. Such part of the said sum of two
million, three hundred and seventy-three thousand
five hundred and fifty-two dollars in the currency of
the United States of America as is payable by the
Colony shall be and the same is hereby declared to
be charged upon and made payable from and out of
the General Revenue and other funds of the Colony.

4. The Treasurer is hereby authorised and Payments
required from time to time upon the order or how made.
warrant of the Administrator to pay the several
sums appropriated by and in the Schedule hereto

A PROCLAMATION.

Whereas by section 5 (a) of the Public Holidays Ordinance, 1954
(No. 19 of 1954) it is enacted that it shdll be lawful for the
Administrator from time to time with the Advice of the Executive
Council by proclamation, to appoint a special day to be kept as a close
holiday in all banks, shops, stores and public offices in the Colony:

And whereas the Administrator, with the advice of the Executive
Council of the Colony of Montserrat considers it expedient that
Thursday the 23rd day of July, 1961, should be reserved as a public
holiday throughout the Colony:

Now, therefore, I, DONALD ALANZO WILES, Administrator as
aforesaid, with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Colony,
hereby appoint Thursday the 23rd day of July, 1964, to be kept as a
close holiday in all banks, shops, stores and public offices in the
Colony.

GIVEN under my hand at .the Administrator's Office,
Montserrat, this 20th day of June, 1964, and in the
thirteenth year of Her Majesty's reign.
