8. Medical Attendance.

Free medical treatment at Govern-
ment Hospitals will be providedt for
the officer. On admission to Hospital
the maintenance charge is at the rate
or $2 a day.

9. Income Tax.

The officer will be liable to income
tax in accordance with local rates.

10. Duties.
The officer will be responsible to
ithe Director of Agricultur, f)or live-
stock policy. His duties will entail
extensive travellin" amnonast cattle


producers. HE may bh called npon
to act for the Veterinary Officer when
the latter is on leave.

11. Qualifications.

Practical expw'rienc' of tropicial

An Ordinance to provide for the management, g
control and supervision of aerodromes in the
Colony.
[7th February, 1957] Commence-
ment.
ENACTED by the Legislature of the Colony
of Montserrat.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Short title.
Aerodromes Ordinance, 1957.
2. In this Ordinance unless the context Interpreta-
otherwise requireis:- tion.
aerodrome means any area of land or. water
designed, equipped or set apart or com-
monly used for affording facilities for the
landing and departure of aircraft;
aircraft shall have the meaning assigned to
it under the Colonial Air Navigation Imp. s. R. &
Order, 1949. o, 200.
3. (1) The Governor in Council may make Power to
regulations for the management, control and m1kAe
regulations,
supervision of aerodromes.
(2) Without prejudice to the generality of the
powers conferred by the foregoing subsection, any
regulations made under this section may provide for
all or any of the following matters, that is to say:-
(a) the placing or removal of erections

(b) the shooting of any animals found

(c) declaring any building or part of a
building or any area of land or water at the
aerodrome to be a restricted place or area;
(d) regulating and restricting the ud-
mission of persons whether as passengers or
S otherwise to any part of an aerodrome;
(e) regulating and restricting the use of
motor vehicles or seacraft or other objects of
any class or description on any part of an
aerodrome;
S(f) appointing parking places for motor
', vehicles at any aerodrome;

(g) the issue of permits and conditions to
be observed by the holders of such permits;

(h) prescribing penalties for the breach
of any regulations made hereunder.
(3) Every regulation made by the Governor
in Council under this section shall within twenty-one
days of the making thereof be submitted to the
Legislative Council and the Legislative Council
may by resolution confirm amend or revoke such
regulation. If the regulation be not submitted
within such period it shall thereupon expire.

Ordinance, 1952.

ENACTED by the Legislature of the Colony
of Montserrat.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Rural short
District Boards (Amendment) Ordinance, 1957,
and shall be read and construed as one with the
Rural District Boards Ordinance, 1952, hereinafter 5/19u2.
called the Principal Ordinance.


2. In paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of
section 10 of the Principal Ordinance after the
words "rural district at which" there shall be
inserted the words "and the manner in which ".

8. Subsection (1) of section 10 of the
Principal Ordinance shall be amended as follows:-

(1) by relettering paragraph (d) and (e)
as (e) and ( ') respectively;

the said Schedule.

ENACTED by the Legislature of the Colony
of the Virgin Islands.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Short title.
Supreme Court Act (Amendment) Ordinance, 1957,
and shall be read as one with the Supreme Court
Act, 1939, as amended, hereinafter called the L. Is. Acts.
20/1939.

2. Subsection (2) of section 13 of the
Principal Act is hereby amended by inserting the
words Attorney General or" between the words
"office of" and the words "Legal Assistant",
and the substitution of the words Legal Assistant"
for the words Crown Attorney in the marginal
note thereto.

THE GENERAL LOCAL LOAN REGULATIONS, 1957, DATED
MAlCH 12, 1957, PRESCRIBED BY THE (iOVERNOR UNDER
'rTil GENERAL LOCAL LOAN ORDINANCE, 1956, (No. 14
OF 1956).


1. Citation. These regulations may be cited as the
General Local Lon Regulations, 1957.

2. Form of Transfer of Debentures. Deben-
tures shall be transferable by instrument in writing in the
form set out in the First Schedule to these Regulations.

3. Conditions of Transfer. (1) There shall be
paid to the Treasurer at the time of application for the transfer
the sun of sixty cents in respect of each debenture to be
transferred.
(2) No transfer of a debenture shall be registered within
the fourteen days immediately preceding the days named in
that behalf in the debenture on which the half yearly interest
upon the principal represented by any such debenture shall be
payable.
4. Payment of Interest. Interest shall be payable
to the registered holder of a debenture or to any Bank as shall,
in the form of the Rlequest set out in the Second Schedule to
these Regulations, be authorized by him to receive the same.

5. Attestation of Documents. (i) The docu-
ments set out in the Schedules to these regulations shall be
executed by the transferer, transferee, or registered holder of a
debenture, as the case may be, in the presence of a witness who
shall attest the same with his or her signature in the pl:ce
indicated thertfor, and such witness shall affix his official seal
(if any) opposite to his sigrnturi thereto.

(2) Documents executed within the Colony shall be
attested by a Justice of the Peace, Notary public or Bank
Manager.
(3) Documents executed outside of the Colony shall, if
executed within the Commonwealth, be attested by a Notary
Public, and, if executed in any other territory, be attested by a
British Consular Officer.
