CABBAGE VARIETY TRIALS AT HASTINGS, FLORIDA 1966-1967 SEASON
R. M. Hosford, Jr., Asst. Plant Pathologist &
J. R. Shumaker, Asst. Horticulturist
Twenty-four cabbage varieties or lines were grown in replicated trials and seven
selections in unreplicated trials. The plants were spaced 9-10 inches apart in
40 inch rows. Growing season extended from November 27 to April 3. A severe
freeze on February 26, 1967, caused varying amounts of damage to plants. Yields
and horticultural characteristics are recorded in Tables 1 and 2.
