Secretary of the meeting, and all the local capitalists were present with

representatives from points along the proposed route.
A resolution that the road be built was passed and it was agreed that
the capital stock should be $150,000, to be increased to $500,000 if necessary.
The subscription list was headed with $21,800 pledged by several present.
A committee of E. J. Young, D. T. Clyatt, LRndolph Epps, Hines Finlayson,
C. T. Tillman, W. W. Walker, and D. H. Mays, 3r., was appointed to can-
vass for further subscriptions and secure the right-of-way.
