city ,f DIaytona recognizes the ios and
had ardently hoped th, re would be a
way t, avert such loss, iuch calamity,
for it is more than a Ios.
There is some satisfac on in the fact
that 95 per cent. of the Seabreene peo-
ple favored the granting to Dr. Potter
the concession asked but the obstinacy
of the remaining five per cent. were suf-
ficent to block his plans of proceedltg
at once upon the preliminary work look-
ing toward a granIer an I better hotel
than the Daytona district has ever yet
had, a modern concrete building, fire-
proof and equipped witt every appli-
ance and convenience for the comfort of
the most exacting tourist.
To resort to the courts for what Dr.
Potter asked would require time, months
and months of time, whici would better
be spent in building rath ar than in liti-
igation, and this Dr. Potter declines to
do. If there were but one property
owner holding out he wauld take the
same view of the matter.
Dr. Potter regrets that his Seabreeze
neighbors see things in a light so differ:-
ent from his view of things and laments
that he has come to the ;)arting of the
ways when it seems the part of wisdom
for him to abandon Seab-eeze, his first
love. but facts are stubborn things and
these are facts.

Florida East Coast Officials Give

Prompt and Courteous

Attention.

For some weeks pat the congestion
has ben so great at the waiting room
and about the passenger station of the
Florida East Coast Railway, and so
much complaint has been lodged of the
lack of accommodations that the Daily
Npws felt impelled to take notice *ad
ascertain if possible the attitude of the
::ilroad people toward improved facil-
i-ies for the handling and comfort of the
patrons -f the road.
In lpursuance of this plan the editor
,f the Daily News wrote personally to
