1. Location:

Yalaha is in Central Florida, 11 miles southeast of Leesburg, 20 miles south-
west of Eustis, 14 miles southeast of Tavares, and 16 miles northwest of
Clermont. It is on Lake Harris. The elevation is approximately 45 feet.

2. Transportation:

Florida Highway 48 passes through Yalaha. The Atlantic Coast Line Railroad
provides freight service. Bus and air service is not available.

3. Population:


Lake County had a population of 27,946 in 1945. The
approximately 300.

4. Climate:

(From observations at Eustis, Florida.)

available.
