Minneola is in Central Florida, 25 miles northwest of Orlando, and 17 miles
south of Tavares. It is on Lake Minneola and near Lake Louisa and Lake Minne-
haha. The elevation is about 129 feet.

Florida Highways 19, 25 and 50 pass through Minneola. The ,tlantic Coast
Line Railroad and'the Tavares and Gulf Railroad provide freight service.

unposted hunting grounds. Hunting lodges and hunting guides are not avail-
able.

Fresh water bass, catfish, perch, and shell crackers are caught in Lake
Minneola, Horseshoe Lake and numerous other small lakes. Fishing camps
fishing guides and charter fishing boats are not available.
