1. Location:

Mascotte is in Central Florida, 37 miles west of Orlando and 75 miles
northeast of Tampa. Mascotte is surrounded by lakes. The elevation is
135 feet.

2. Transportation:

Florida Highways 33 and 50 pasa;'through Mascotte. The Atlantic Coast
Line Railroad provides rail service. Orlando Transit provides bus service.
Air service is not available.

3. Population:


Lake County had a population of 27,946 in 1945.

Quail, dove, and duck are found in this section. No hunting lodges or
hunting guides are available.

Fresh water trout, perch, bream, catfish and jack are caught in Lake Sunset,
Lake Jackson, Big Bluff, Little Bluff, and many other nearby lakes. There
are no fishing camps, fishing guides or charter fishing boats available.
