General Note: The map was engraved in 1595 and was included with the historical maps in the Parergon.
General Note: The UF library copy of the third version (1595) Palestinae map is from a 1603 Latin edition of the Theatrum Orbis Terrarum. It is similar to the first and second version except: above the cartouche is "Deut. 8", the legend is different with additional text, the drawings of monsters and some ships are missing, the compass-rose at the upper part of the right-hand corner is missing, and the Latin text is on the right verso only and is titled "Palaestina"..
