FSSP Annual Meetings Immediately following the Farming Systems Symposium at
Kansas State University the FSSP will hold its Annual Meetings. A preliminary
agenda and schedule is given in this issue of On Networking. Between agenda items
included out of necessity and the expressed interest of special interest working
groups, a meeting schedule filled rapidly. Your recommendations concerning the
agenda are invited, especially if any important concerns have been overlooked.

Please note that the hour from 9:00 to 10:00 on the morning of October 9 has been
reserved for Support Entity Reports. Obviously this time period cannot accommodate
all of the institutions and organizations participating in the network. It will,
however, provide an opportunity for a number of you to report briefly on sane of
your activities. This timeframe will be filled on a first-come, first-served
basis, allowing five minutes or so for presentations. Please let us know if you
are interested in making a presentation.

FSSP has no budget for your participation in either the KSU Symposium or in the
FSSP Annual Meetings. We encourage you to attend. We also recommend that you
Encourage those who administer your bilateral technical assistance contracts to
sponsor one or more of their counterparts as well as AID participants in graduate
study in the US under bilateral contract support to attend the entire week of
activity. Both the Symposium and the Annual Meetings promise a lively interchange.
As you can see from the schedule some serious consideration will be given to the
future of both the network and the continuing evolution of Farming Systems Research
and Extension.
