On Networking # 11

* FSSP Core/FSSP Network Communication Policy Change #1. Beginning with
this issue of On-Networking, and continuing for the life of the project,
the FSSP Core will circulate all On-Networking and On-Demand bulletins
to all SE PAs in another attempt to increase communication within the
FSSP network. This change will allow PAs to receive notices which may
be important to them sooner than before. Individual PAs, or groups of
PAs, may then respond directly to the FSSP Core with short task
proposals or other communications. Be sure, however, to copy
information to your respective PL or AC.

* The forthcoming FSSP Annual Meeting Oct. 11-12, 1984, following the
Kansas State University Farming Systems Symposium is rapidly
approaching. We look forward to meeting with FSSP Program Leaders
(PLs) and Administrative Coordinators (ACs) and others interested, from
MOA institutions and elsewhere. As was the case last year, travel and
per diem will be covered by the FSSP for PLs and ACs but with the
following guidelines:
1) only PLs and ACs from MOA entities will receive support,
2) per diem applies only to the two days and two nights of the FSSP
meetings,
3) substitutes for PLs or ACs will not be funded but are welcome
under SE funding,
4) the preferred reimbursement method is from the University of
Florida to the SE, following the meeting (your contact is Judy
Meline (904) 392-2309, at UF).

* Formation of FSR Project Evaluation Revision Task Force (ETF). The FS
SCore is pleased to announce that the FSR project evaluation revision
task force (ETF) has been formed. The lead entity will be WI. The
seven-member ETF will hold an organizational meeting at the KSU FSR
Symposium, and will be supported and backstopped by a 15-member Advisory
Group. Five SEs expressed interest in the ETF; three submitted short
lead entity proposals. It is anticipated that the final product of the
ETF will be produced, tested in at least two field situations (FSR
project evaluations) and presented at the annual FSSP KSU meetings in
1985.
