CHRISTUS ,NATTS EST MY COMPLIMENTS OF THE, SEASON
(A Christ-mnas Poerm)

Little Jesus in the warm hay
Is'born this day a Saviour.
Ma"y, Joseph kneel -quite inmblay
With cow and sheep in to adore:
ALLELUIA.
The shepherds while they tend their
The glad tidings the angels give,
And hasten they with joy to see
GOD is come with man to live:
RES MIRANDA.
See MelchJor with purest gold,
Ruddy Caspar with incense sweet,
Black Balthazar with precious myrrh
Hasten the King of kings to greet;
TRANSEAMUS.

E. C, LOBLACK
The world must love its own.
I recommend strongly-that Hon.Miss
Mary Eugenia Charles, Leader of the
Opposition, be declared the WOMAN OF
Tee HE EEAR.
Now Christmas is here we ought
not to'celebrate it merely because
it is a holiday but Te must bear in
mind that "Unto us a child was born;
unto us a son was given and the gov-
ernment shall be upon his shoulder
and his name shall be called wonder-
ful, counsellor, the mighty God,the
Everlasting Father and the Prince of
Peace."

T1ne kMel- aT 6 V5 C1 "Of the increase of his govern-
Christmas bells are chiming gay; ent and peace there shall be no end

Jesus is born of Mary pure
on this merry Christmas Day: upon the throne of. David and uponblis

S it with judgment and with justice.
Come ye oh'istians, sinner pJnd just, from henceforth qven forever the ssL-"

when she said that her soul magnified the Lord and..her spirit had rejoiced
in God her Saviour. She knew there was no one else. E.C

CHURCHILLS 'WIFE DIES
The death'in England of Lady Spencer

BritainTs most famous Prime Minister

ed her -- at the age of 93 was not
unexpected, but caused grief and many
tributes.

A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE
from the
President of the Young Freedom Move-
ment.
At, this time of year when we
observe and celebrate the birth of
the Messiah Jesus'Christ, it's
expedient that we, the youth, re-
examine ourselves by asking what
have we done over the past year to
uplift our precarious condition in
this country.
As many see Christmas as a time
of goodwill.and peace, so too should
many see it as am ideal time to con-
centrate on the year ahead.
The Young Freedom Mov.iment in its
desire to bring about Vhe harmoniz-
ation of the youth of the State, who
are being denigrated by the Govern-
ment ofi the Day, call on the .youth
to be complacent throughout this j
festivq season, and wish a all youth
,and yo th organizations in Dominica
1 A MERRY OHRISTMAS
and
A HAPPY NEW YEAR.
I alsO extend to'them greetings
on behalf of myself.

WATER FROM DOMINICA FOR SALE
This wonderful idea, raised In
a private letter to us by a .man
living in Newfoundland (Peter Bell)
many months ago, has been investiga-
ted by Minister of Works Hon.Mike
.Douglas with officials in Antigua,
St.Thomas, St.Croix and St.Martin,
Everybody knows that our gushing
streams and rivers are our greatest
asset (as long as the forestry ex-
ploiters are careful not to deplete
our precious mountainsides).
We are pleased to'hear that Domi-
nice already sells 3.5 million gal-
lons of water per month to St.Martin
- this means $7,000 in revenue to
our Central Water Authority; and St.
Martin's needs are far from satisfied.
Mr. Douglas feels that Dominica
ght be able to do ,water-business'
th St.Thomaas too there- the need
is aerteq; there are two plants ox-.
tracing fresh water from sea water.
In Antigua, we might be able to sup-
ply cheaper water than they can pro-
vide by desalination. St. Croixis
