PREFACBE.



AtLIN for some time, in his own family and
parish, felt the need of a book of prayers for the
use of children, the author of this little manal h
thought he might do good by preparing a few sim-
pie forms for this purpose, designed for children
v or six yearn old and upwam s. The language
of the Bible and of the Book of Cormmn Pryet
has been adopted in many instances, both oa *a'
count of its peculiar approprteness, ad ftr a
desire to make is afamilir M pp ibe t he*
mind of children. A few hymns am added, mo
of them being selected.
