CLIIIATOLOGICAL REPORT, 1954

Summary


The report contained in the following nine pages is a summary of
weather data for the calendar year 195L, Only pertinent information on rain-
fall, temperature and evaporation is included in the analyses. Daily
temperature and rainfall averages are computed on a 30-year period (1924-53),
while monthly averages are computed on a 33-year basis (1924-56).


t Total rainfall was 53.23 inches or a deficit of 3.93 inches based
MtM year average, Itainfall was below normal for January, July, August,
October, N6vember and December. Highest recorded was 11,12 inches for June -
1473 iache -above normal. Lowest month was January with a total of only 0,86
inches 'Qpeatest amount during any 2h-hour period was 3.30 inches on June 19.


Temperature: The only month in which temperatures dropped to 32 degrees or
below was December. Temperatures of 32, and 31 occurred on December 21 and
22, respectively. There were five other days in which temperatures reached
33-35 degrees. The mean temperature for December was six degrees below the
30-year average. On all other months the means did not vary more than five
degrees from the 30-year average.
