3 A bill to be entitled

4 An act relating to flood control; creating

S378.152, Florida Statutes, to authorize the

6 payment of rewards for information concerning

7 unlawful acts on flood control district prop-

8 erties or works; providing an effective date.

9 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
10 Section 1. Section 378.152, Florida Statutes, is

11 created to read:
12 378.152 Unlawful damage to district property or

13 works; penalty.--The governing board of the district shall

14 have the power and is authorized to offer and pay rewards

15 of up to five thousand dollars ($5,000) to any person

16 furnishing information leading to the arrest and con-

17 viction of any person who has committed an unlawful act

18 or acts upon the rights-of-way, land or land interests of

19 the district, or has destroyed or damaged district prop-

20 erties or works.

21 Section 2. This act shall take effect upon

22 becoming a law.
