S 1 MEMORANDUM

V T1O: DONALD R. FEASTER, Executive Director --.
FROM: E. D. VERGARA, Director, Dept. of Int agency Coordination
S RE: Telecon with Bud Shaeffer, Desoto County Planning Dept.

1. Wanted to know if we were monitoring 6DC's progress to-date. Says
they're building treatment facilities and holding ponds. By copy of this
memo to Jim Mann, I'm asking him to give Shaeffer a call (813-494-0042).

2. Also said that the Chairman of Charlotte County Conservation Council,
Inc., a Mr. Jim Kelly, has written Jay Landers requesting that the Peace
River be reclassified to Class I waters. He said this, if approved, could
affect Florida Power and Light's planned use of the River. By copy of
this memo, I'm asking Jay to comment to you regarding any impact it could
have on FP & L's plans as well as 6DC.
