RE: Rules and Regulations Regarding the Consumptive
Use of Water

Attached is a copy of the Rules and Regulations regarding the consumptive
use of water that the Governing Board of the Southwest Florida Water Man-
agement District will be holding public hearings on at the following times'
and. places:

1. July 10, 1974; 11:00 a.m.; District Headquarters building in
Brooksville, seven miles south on U.S. 41.

2. July 11, 1974; 9:30 a.m.; Commissioners' Board Room, Marion
County Courthouse, Ocala.

3. July 12, 1974; 9:30 a.m.; Peace River Basin Office, 2020 High-
way 60 East Bypass, Bartow.

We realize that some people may want more time for review, and these hear-
ings will be used to provide a briefing on the proposed Rules and Regula-
tions and allow testimony from the public. We will recommend that no
action be taken by the Board at this time, that the hearings be continued
till August 14, 1974, and that the public have the opportunity, during
this period, to present pertinent comments for the Board's consideration.
