Herb Peyton, of Gate Petroleum, and I welcome you to
Jacksonville and would like to take this opportunity to invite
you and your spouse to join us for dinner at the Ponte Vedra Inn.
Dinner will be on Friday, September 11, 1987, at 7:30 p.m.
following the Environmental Efficiency Study Commission meeting.
Additionally, for those of you who are interested in
spending Thursday evening at Jacksonville's latest downtown
attraction, we will provide shuttle van service from the Ponte
Vedra Inn into the Jacksonville Landing. At the Landing, you may
dine in some of Jacksonville's newest restaurants, shop in a variety
of unique stores, enjoy the evening 'drinking' in the atmosphere in
some of the waterside lounges or simply stroll along the famed
Riverwalk on the River's edge!
Please call Fran Root (904)398-3911 in my office to
R.S.V.P. your dinner reservations for Friday night and for Thursday
evening arrangements at your earliest convenience. Again, we look
forward to seeing you in Jacksonville on September 10, 11 and 12.
With kind regards, I am
Frank X. Friedmann, Jr.

I found your message when I returned to the office today. My
secretary had tried to return your call on Thursday to tell you
that I had left early that morning for West Palm. Unfortunately,
we made a mistake in writing down your phone number and it was
not until later that afternoon that this mistake was discovered.
You are now permanently on my rolodex with a notation that your
secretary's name is Sharon (Hello, Sharon).
I am very enthused about the opportunities for the Environmental
Efficiency Study Commission. Ponte Vedra was only my fourth
meeting but during this short time I sense a stronger shift to
the position espoused by my good friend Ted Prior.
Congratulations. I think we are moving.
If we extend over to Saturday, October 10, I am going to count on
you to take care of our interests. Unfortunately (or
fortunately, depending on view point) I will be on my way to
Gunnison with a big gun and a strong desire to bag an elk.
I am going to be attending the Florida Insurance Council Meeting
at The Breakers on the 27th and 28th. How about having lunch
with me at The Breakers on Monday, September 28th? Perhaps we
should invite Susan Lubitz.
Sinc ly yours,
L. M. Budd Blain
