FOR RELEASE ON 19 NOVEMBER

GOVERNOR CHILES TO ACCEPT DEEDS TO THE CROSS
FLORIDA BARGE CANAL TOMORROW IN OCALA

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Governor Lawton Chiles will receive the
deeds to the Cross Florida Barge Canal tomorrow, November 20, in

a joint ceremony hosted by the Jacksonville District, U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers and the State of Florida.

The ceremony which will begin at 10 a.m. will be held at the
Ray Wayside Park on Route 40, Ocala, Florida. The ceremony will
be open to the public. The Marion County Sheriff's Office will be

on hand to assist with traffic control.

Spectators are asked to be seated by 9:45 a.m. and enjoy the
music provided by a the 24th Infantry Division Band from Fort
Stewart, Ga.
