RE: Acquisition of Seaboard Coastline Rail-
road Right-of-Way in South Pasco County

Dear Mr. Feaster:

This letter is to set out and confirm our oral discussions
last week that the City of St. Petersburg fully concurs with
the plan for Southwest Florida Water Management District to ac-
quire as quickly as possible the Seaboard Coastline Railroad
bed that is presently being considered for abandonment.

As we have discussed, it appears that Pinellas County and
the City of St. Petersburg can, without difficulty, make joint
use of this right-of-way, and there appears some willingness
not yet crystalized on behalf of Hillsborough County to do the
same thing.

All concerned urge that this matter be done as soon as
possible and will aid in solving any difficulty that might be
Presented.

Cordially yours,

CARL R. LINN
Chief Assistant City Attorney
