FROM: M. R. Stierheim, County Administrat

RE: 45-Day Ban on New Construction

Effective immediately, the members of the Board of County Commissioners
have authorized me to direct that for a period of forty-five days there shall be no
building permits issued for new construction in Pinellas Courty which would require
additional water from the County Water System.

Applications should continue to be accepted, dated and time stamped;
however, no permits shall be issued except for those that do not place d demand oh
the County Water System. All applications that are now being reviewed shall be
frozen for the 45-day period. Those in hand shall be given first priority it such time
as the Board of County Commissioners shall authorize the issuance of future permits.

The Pinellas County Water Department shall issue water connections for
construction now in progress; however, no new connection permits shall be issued for
building permits issued by municipalities being served by the County Water System
after today and during the 45-day ban.
