Mr. Randall Kelly
Office of Secretary of State 19
The Capitol
Tallahassee, Florida 32304 -y

Dear Mr. Kelly:

At the request of Mr. L. M. Blain, Counsel for the District Board of Governors,
we are sending you material and information concerning our larger land holdings,
we have attached a copy of our Land Acquisition Status Packet and a reference
map of the Four River Basins, Florida Project Plan for which we are the local
sponsor.

The packet shows the status of land acquisition in the proposed flood detention
areas and water storage lands effective December 31, 1974. To show current land
acquisition status, we have included a tabulation sheet titled Significant Land
Acquisition by SWFWMD, effective July 1, 1975. The tabulations include total
acreage and cost figures for acquisitions funded through the State Water Resource
Development Account and for acquisitions funded through local ad valorem taxes.

An important consideration concerning these approximate cost figures is that they
generally comprise only those costs paid by the District for the property. They
do not include, for example, costs for appraisals or legal fees connected with
legal representation for the District or the landholder.

In addition to the above, we are providing you with a current list of our
Governing Board and Basin Board members.

Please contact us if we can be of further assistance.

Very truly yours,

E.D. VERGARA
Deputy Executive Director
for Interagency Coordination
