3 A bill to 'be entitled

4 An act relating to St. Petersburg; amending

5 subsection (h) of section 3, chapter 15505,

6 Laws of Florida, 1931, to provide that !

7 St. Petersburg's right and power of

8 eminent domain shall only be exercised

9 within Pinellas County; providing for

10 repeal of inconsistent laws; providing

11 an effective date.

13 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

14

15 Section 1. Subsection (h) of section 3, chapter

16 15505, Laws of Florida, is amended to read:

17 Section 3. Powers, Rights and Liabilities of the City:

18 General Powers.--Without denial or disparagement of

19 other powers now-held or that may hereafter be held or

20 that may hereafter be given to the City under or by the

21 Constitution or Laws of the State of Florida, the City of

22 St. Petersburg shall have power:

23 (h) To have the right and power of eminent domain

24 for the purpose of condemning lands and their appurtenances

25 only within Pinellas County in accordance with the Laws of

26 Florida, either within or without the corporate limits of the

27 City.

28 Section 2. All laws or parts of laws in conflict here-

29 with are hereby repealed.

30 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately

31 upon becoming a law.
