A bill to be entitled



An act relating to central and southern Florida flood
control district, group insurance, amending Section 2-
of Chapter 65-1100 laws of Florida 1965 to change the
authority of the board of governors of the District to
participate in a plan of group insurance by contributing
a part of the premiums necessary to carry out such a
plan; stating legislative intent; providing an effective
date.


Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:


Section 1. Section 2 of Chapter 65-1100 Laws of Florida 1965, is

amended to change the percentage of contribution which may be made by

the governing board of central and southern Florida flood control

district to the payment of the premium in the plan of group insurance

authorized by Chapter 65-1100 Laws of Florida 1965, by rewording Section

2 as follows: When the governing board of the district shall decide to

participate in such plan of group insurance, it is authorized to con-

tribute to the premium necessary to carry out such a plan an amount of

not to exceed Seventy Five percent (75%) of the cost of the group

insurance, from any funds available to the district.

Section 2. It is the intent of the legislature to simply change

the amount of contribution which the governing board of central and

southern Florida flood control district may make to the premium neces-

sary to carry out the plan of group insuranc:e and all authority and

responsibility presently vested under Chapter 65-1100 Laws of Florida

1965 shall continue to be vested in the governing board of said

district.

Section 3. This act shall take effect ___ 1973.
