RE: St. Petersburg's CUP's (Section 21, So. Pasco, Cosme-Odessa,
Cypress Creek)

We have now received CUP's for St. Pete's well fields Section 21, South Pasco
Cosme Odessa and Cypress Creek and Bill Duynslager and his consultant
(leggette Brashears & Graham) are expecting that the District will be ready to
present these at Public Hearing at the October Governing Board meeting.
However, significant work will be require on these in reviewing regulatory
levels, pumpage caps, regulatory well location, affects on lake levels, etc.,
and coordinating with District legal counsel to arrive at District recommendation
on the permits.

For the three existing fields there will be significant effort required to reconstruct
existing regulatory levels computation for which were handled by U.S.G.S.,
Jerry Parker, Bill Smith, etc. and the reorganization change of responsibility
for these fields from Bob Moresi to Regulatory which is just taking place, further
complicates matters,

In addition to the above, Phillios CUP is under restudy for continuance October 13th,
West Pasco salt-water has been continued to October 7th, East Lake Road CUP is
iJeTi ?for the October Governing Board meeting, Bud will be on A/L from
9/15 to 10/10 and Bob Evans will be at the NWWA Convention 10/6 to 10/10.

We may be ready for hearing on these fields in November but will not know
definitely until the October Governing Board meeting at which time we could
advertise for November if all is ready and I mean all including all legal
resolve. However, we may have to defer to December if more work is involved
than anticipated or staff time is not available,

We will be informing Bill Duynslager of our working toward November but
possible postponement to December. However, I anticipate that you will
receive a complaint call. s -
