Gentlemens

We object to the issuance of any such permit that will let
the City of St. Petersburg do any more pumping in the Cosme-
Odessa well field. Sonse the rainy season Is just about over
and with the continued pumping of St. Petersburg, Lake Calm's
water level will drop rapidly. At this time it is at its
normal level, do to the excessive amount of rain this year,
.The springs that used to feed Lake Calm are no more, since
St, Petersburg's excessive pumping in the Cosme-Odessa well
field increased in the last few years even before Swift Mud
was ever organized.

There are three wells across the road from our home along
Gunn Highway, With the continued pumping from these wells
the water level will again this year, go down far enough that
we have no water front property, as someone else owns the
property between our property edge and the water, ven though
we pay high taxes for water front property, our taxes have
more than doubled with this 1005 assessment on property.
Continued misuse of this water will lead to more trouble
with our vells which many of us have already had. Since we
have to pay these excessive property taxes, we would like
very much .to see that the lake level remains at the level it
was when we bought this property, conceding only to the
elements of nature,

Cordially,
