To Municipal cities and Appropriate Agencies:

On January .1 7,'1979, the draft Weater Suly L_ ement of the Pinellas
County General Plan was initially adopted by the Pinellas County Plan-
ning Council (PPC). The element is designed to establish a desirable
water supply policy framework within which the Council can base future
planning decisions. The element received considerable input from local
water supply systems and associated water agencies.

Pursuant to the Planning Council's Legislation (Chapter 73-594, as
amended), the PPC is now formally distributing the Water Suply Element
to the Division of State Planning, the Tampa Bay Regional Planning
Council, and all local governments within Pinellas County. Upon re-
ceiving this draft document, if a government body decides to comment
on its contents, it has ninety days to do so and all comments must
be in writing.

Finally, if you have any further questions regarding the Water ISu;p.l
Element or the PPC's adoption procedures, please feel free to contact
Paul A. Bergmann, Executive Director of the Pinelias County Planning
