PUBLIC NOTICE


The continuation of the December 20, 1978 public hearing by the Department of
Environmental Regulation on the adoption of the State Water Use Plan has been
cancelled (see September 22, 1978, Florida Administrative Weekly). Due to
substantial public comment on the proposed plan, the department is withdrawing
it from further consideration at this time until revisions and alternative
methods of implementation can be studied. The department will provide notice
ninety days in advance of any new hearing on this matter in the Florida Admin-
istrative Weekly and in regional newspapers throughout the state, and will have
drafts of any proposed plan available for all interested persons ninety days
prior to the hearing.

Any comments or questions concerning this announcement, previously released
drafts of the plan, or future plan development, should be directed to the
Department of Environmental Regulation, Bureau of Water Management, Twin Towers
Office Building, 2600 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee, Florida, 32301, attention:
