MEMORANDUM August 24, 1972

TO: James A. Mann, Chief, Permits Department

FROM* Malcolm Johnson, Operations Engineer /? f~

RE: Proposed Diversion of Water from Little Manatee River by Florida
Power and Light Company Comments on memo by James A. Mann
dated August 23, 1972

I don't see a large error.

It may be somewhat misleading (as Oliver implies) to indicate that Florida Power and
Light may use all the water above 40 cfs.

It may be wrong to say (in the 3rd paragraph) that there could be no diversion for an
average of four months each year. Because the average flow was less than 40 cfs does
not mean that there could be no pumping some days during those months.
