SOUTHVEST FLORIDA fATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT

RESOLUTION NO. 54

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THIE ASSETS AND
OBLIGATIONS OF T'":. PEACE RIVER VALLEY
WATER CONSERVATION & DRAINAGE DISTRICT
AS REQUIRED BY.CHAP TER 61-691, FLORIDA STATUTES


WHEREAS, The Peace River Valley Water Conservation & Drainage District'
organized and existing under Chapter 59-1002, Florida Statutes, was directed
under Chapter 61-691, Florida Statutes, to settle all outstanding obligations
with funds on hand and to transfer all remaining assets or obligations to the
Southwest Florida !Water Management District effective June 30, 1963 at
midnight; and

WiHEREAS, The Peace River Basin Water Management Board has now assumed
the duties and obligations of the Peace River Valley Water Conservation &
Drainage District, and has received the assets, files, and responsibilities of
the aforementioned authority;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Southwest Florida Water
Management District does hereby officially accept the assets and obligations
of the Peace River Valley Water Conservation & Drainage District as required
by the law.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of July, 1963.
