LOCAL FLORA
(revised edition)
Dana G. Griffin, Ill
Bryophyte and Lichen Herbarium
Department of Botany
University of Florida

The present checklist of commonly encountered
vascular plants of north central Florida represents
a refinement and modest extension of a similar list
prepared several years ago. The numerous requests
for copies soon exhausted the supply available, and
with the ever increasing interest in Florida plants
by amateurs, professionals and the public at large,
it was felt a revised edition would serve a clear
need.
The author appreciates those who were kind
enough to point out omissions in the first checklist,
and he repeats the request for continued sharp-
eyed criticism of this revised edition.
