Abstract: In the 1960s. conservation Biologist and UF Professor Archie Carr would tie helium filled balloons to sea turtles to study their post-neting movements. His team would track the turtles' movements by watching the balloons - usually from about 50 feet in the air - with the use of a special telescope. (from UF Today, Spring 2010).
