PENICK & FOR D, LTD.,

EXECUTIVE OFFICES NEW ORLEANS
;-4y 8th, 1924.
F. A. Holdan & Co.,
"..e have to thank you for your letters of the 31st
of March and 4th of April, which have received our full
consideration; but we have not been able to confirm the
agency arrangements sug: ested by -iessrs. Bird & Co., Inc.,
as simultaneously with the despatch of our letter of the 25th
of :iArch, we received an order from another Agent in Dominican
-:epublic who has been seeking our representation for some time
past, without success.
The fact that our correspondents placed with us a
good order has naturally influenced us a great deal, and we
feel under the circumstances, it would be unfair to reject
the offer of services which have been substantiated in this
way. Therefore, we request you to suspend any further corres-
pondence with us pending the outcome of our negotiations with
the Company mentioned.
"..e do not feel there is roam for two representatives
in your territory and we have made no definite arrangements with
the other concern mentioned, therefore, we feel that the matter
must be allowed to remain in abeyance until we see whether we
are being ri htly served by our other friends.
Yours very truly,
T.:IJI & Ft. ); CO. IKC.
