Getting down and dirty at Latt Maxcy Library

Once you found a fossil, the big challenge was identifying it. Here, Reagan Myers holds a fossil as
her mom ,Mandi Myers, attempts to identify it. Rosyln Myers looks on.

Frostproof's Latt Maxcy Memorial Library hosted its final kids program of the summer last Friday,
and the youngsters really"dug it" you might say. The program was all about fossils, and was
presented by the Florida Industrial and Phosphate Research Institute. Indira Sukhraj was the
g uest speaker, and kids at the end of the program got a chance to actually dig and identify their
own fossils.

The fossil dig took up pretty much all the available open space at Frostproof's Latt Maxcy Memo-
rial Library last week.
